Hello everyone,

I am aware of the high level of inactivity that the group has experienced over the past two weeks or so. RL responsibilities have caught up to me and between work and my other duties I haven't found the energy or the time to devote to getting the wheels turning again.

Feel free to post announcements and such if you are still interested in the group, and talk to me if you find me online if you have questions. In perhaps a week's time I will be back to my normal schedule and will be able to administer this group as before.

The Dienivis of 3NR was harsh, but we made it through. Dienivis once again approaches and we must remain strong. We have braved many a Dienivis in the past, and we shall brave this one as well. Our firewood stockpiles of last Dienivis have continued, and Our advisers tell Us that the Kingdom is in good standing in the area of providing warmth to Our people.

Iovivus Calls for Stockpiling of Firewood

We do hereby command the Praefecti to begin the immediate stockpiling of firewood for the coming Dienivis.

Our oracles and clerics have informed Us that this coming Dienivis will be particularly harsh, and as it is Our duty to protect this kingdom and its people, it is imperative that every household has adequate firewood to keep warm when the snow comes.

We task the Praefecti and the levies under their command, as well as the Grand Legatus, to organize a concerted effort to stockpile this firewood for Our people.

An Heir is Born

Today, the first day of Reginivis in the Year of the Eight 3, the Kingdom welcomes its heir. Early this morning, King Iovivus' wife, Magdalena, gave birth to a healthy baby boy, who will be known henceforth as Septimus Jovian, Prince of Argathia.

The birth of this child marks the true beginning of the Jovian Dynasty in Argathia. Upon the passing of Iovivus, as law dictates, Septimus will ascend to the throne.

Large Iron Ore Veins Discovered in Northern Argathia

We have been informed that the overseer of a metal mine near Arvensay has discovered large vein of iron ore while mining copper, tin, and other metals used in the production of bronze.

We have immediately ordered that the miners cease all other mining operations in this location, and focus exclusively on extracting the iron ore.

Additionally, we have ordered that the smiths in northern Argathia begin experimentation and smithing with more iron, being the superior metal.

Finally, I have requisitioned a portion of the iron to be extracted and sent to Tygos, so that our master smiths here can work to make iron smelting and smithing more efficient and to teach other smiths the ways of ironworking.

We believe that transitioning to exclusively the use of iron instruments is within two years of achievement.

Iovivus Orders Action Against Karthyssian Pirates

In response to the deplorable attack on Our capital, We do hereby order the Grand Legatus to dispatch ships into the Southern Ocean and Ceto Straits to search for these pirates, and prevent further raids through regular patrols.

We do also hereby order the construction of additional military ships and the immediate recruitment of the sailors and soldiers needed to crew and protect these ships and the people of our Kingdom.

Karthyssian pirates raid the port of tygos

Briefing: a band of 200 ethnic Karthyssian pirates raided the port of typos we managed to quickly repel them but at a huge cost
Casualties:

56 wounded
72 captured
Sadly 48 managed to escape

246 wounded
And sadly 8 where kidnapped (mostly women and children)

I have found they main camp it is base in the mountains pass, the prisoners said that everyone was there, all their families and those fleed from the battle so please would the grand legatus in form the captain who it out seaching for them.

To the king, not all the prisoners died from questioners, I seek your permission to reform them in workers for you.
