New Group Game: Brawlhalla

ARSR is adding another title to its list of officially-endorsed games: Brawlhalla.

This is an F2P multiplayer Smash-like game. Mechanically, the characters only vary in their stats and how they use the weapons, so you'll need to rely on your skills to do well, not a particular character. The game supports private lobbies which seem ideal for organizing group events.

Speaking of, JuniperJams and I will eventually be scheduling a clan event for this game. We don't have any of the details worked out yet, so you've got time to become familiar with it.

Looks to be a game like Starmade, except actually good and has a naval theme to it, since most of the game is in the water. But there's a the mechanic for airships. I'm going to make a junker if I can.

Dwarf Fortress! (Why god, why?!)

Hey guys, Ghidorah 'ere.
I've been thinking about something we could do that would take a step away from the normal stuff we do. And then it came to me. A few of us could very reasonably play a succession type game of Dwarf Fortress. I think it could be kind of fun. If at least a few people agree with me, a small number of us could try to play this.

If you're confused as all hell get out, continue reading as I explain the basic concepts of Dwarf Fortress, so you can decide what you want.

Basically, Dwarf fortress is a game, where you control a few dwarves out and about to make a new home for themselves. This can be anything from some lonely logging camp, all the way up to the new capital of Dwarven Civilization. Throughout the game, you may never be assaulted by anything, living a completely peaceful life (lol not even) without dealing with hostile mobs, to sobbing uncontrollably as your team of dwarves is brutally murdered by elephants, giant sponges, carp, and god knows what else.

The basic game is done entirely by ANSII art. Aka the everything is made up of characters from the keyboard. Needless to say, I say screw that and download a texture pack because pretty.

If you're interested in playing with the rest of the clan, but haven't played yet, download the game and the lazy newb pack to make your life easy, and try to learn the game. It's not easy. It has a learning cliff, not a curve. My guess is that we'll try to just run the game with the lazy newb pack the first time, as that should make those who have no idea what they're doing, up to the people like me who only have a reasonable understanding of what is going on, able to play fairly well.

Generally speaking, it's better when you try to roleplay as the leader a little, and discuss what happens during your reign. If you don't, it makes for a pretty meh-tier reign.
