can you guys fix the ship before making a new one?
Blazing Griffin Sep 1, 2014 @ 5:44am
Yes, we have the rights to make a sequel. :)

At least, there is finally something moving with the ship.
Do you have the right to make a sequel?
I mean, Bloody good time is fun and all but, it just doesn't feels right

5H00T4's crushed hopes = it's not our primary goal to crush your hopes, it's more of a guilty pleasure we enjoy.

Recent activity = I (Scott) recently started with the team here as Marketing Manager, and as part of that role I've been reworking the website (hence some of the new content).

F2P = it's unlikely The Ship will go F2P. There's still cost to running the game for us (support requests, etc.), so we do need to ensure those costs are covered.

Hey folks, just to respond to some of the comments here:

Servers = as has been mentioned, we don't have a technical license for the game, so we can't make technical changes. This is why the master server is not supported for example. We've posted a couple of guides (and there are others on the Steam guides section) on how to connect to other servers.

Games = we're a small studio, so didn't have the resources to develop the sequel when we want to, but we're still looking at it. We've launched other titles since then to help build revenue streams for the company. Got something interesting to announce pretty soon! ;)

EDIT: Hm, just saw that the updated their page and posted some guides on how to play The Ship...

Could it be?
Or will my hopes be crushed again?
5H00T4 Aug 24, 2014 @ 2:18pm
F2P is their best chance (or at least massively reduce the price).
But I highly doubt they will announce anything worthwhile - it sounds like it isn't even related to The Ship ("Blazing Griffin have some pretty interesting things in the pipeline").

So far they haven't done ANYTHING, and they had the license for a few years already.

The Ship is an awesome game I'm glad to see progression from their team

Just use the servers through the steam panel. Google it and you'll find the answer on how to play The Ship.

And don't dare to make it F2P!!!

@BizQ they can't, they don't have the licenses from the now-disbanded Outerlight.
