Is it my imagination, or did something change with the game resolution or supersampling? After patch b21 arrived, it appears that my graphic settings are the same, but the texures in mid-to-far distance look less detailed, as if SS were off.

Ah ok, I would be cautious as well, seeing those reviews. Thats the thing with NVidea, they make awesome tech, but do not support users enough and wont maintain it for long. Same with their 3DVision. Probably only worth for triple A studios that participate in NVideas workshops, at least a few games do feature VRWorks

@terryleemartin: I will in fact get a little meditation retreat time starting tomorrow (Wednesday), so I'll be offline for about a week. Good luck with the HP Reverb - I've heard good things about it!

@Laiden: I had actually planned to integrate VRWorks a while back while we were still on 5.6 (it requires 2017.4) but then, when we finally were on 2017.4, I hesitated due to the concerning reviews by other developers: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/particles-effects/nvidia-vrworks-83505 ... and that plugin has last been updated more than a year ago, which, with the pace that Unity sets, is also concerning.

As a little background, when Valve, which I highly respect, released "The Lab" renderer, I spent several weeks trying to make Holodance work with it ... just to find out that in our case, the performance benefit was negligible. So with packages like this, I have become much more cautious. But it's definitely still something to consider, so thank you for the reminder ;-)

While at tech updates, do you consider to integrate partial or full support of NVidea's VRWorks [developer.nvidea.com] in the future? Its backed by Unity in form if a plugin and Unity5 Engine and offering hardware acceleration beneficial to Holodance (though obvisiously a NVidea dedicated API)

Wow, looks like you need some meditation rest time after completing all these changes. I'm going to have to start playing the story mode and check out some of the improvements you made there. I've only used the free mode. I'm still waiting for the new Reverb Mixed Reality VR set to become available. I've had my order placed on Amazon since early February. I was sent one three weeks ago, but it was defective. My oldest son who was the Microsoft engineer who designed it checked it out and told me "send it back to Amazon." I'm now waiting for them to get more in stock. Thanks for all the improvements. They make it all the more enjoyable to play.
