on the tutorial (which should have the option to skip), i was repairing the sail when the red progress bar for repair completion had stopped despite my hammer still going and making hammer noises. worth noting that even when i let go of m1 and walk off the rigging, it kept going. i had to close the game. also, the tutorial looks different

As a side note to past comments, even with stats gone, there is no real incentive in remaining Capt. with a crew of new players who can't/won't heed basic instructions (BUT if you are going to resign, please do it at spawn and NOT mid-battle/sinkage). Looking forward to the Training/Tutorial mode, because I don't necessarily want to be teaching BASIC mechanics in every other game.
You can still get some XP/fun as a crewman with a♥♥♥♥♥♥captain, but you can't hardly get XP/fun as a captain with a♥♥♥♥♥♥crew. This is just my new guy opinion though, and only one of many...

I'm a bit disappointed in the censorship, but I see where this is coming from. Protecting new players is crucial to the survival of an EA game.

Keep in mind though, players often still vote for whichever Gold/Elite player is on their boat, so I don't think this will change much, if anything, regarding toxicity or vanity.
Statistics are only really useful when there's some kind of marker for comparison, and leaving ONLY 'wins' as a stat is as arbitrary as having ranks. What does 100 wins mean, compared to 200, 1000? I mean, the minute I got Elite, I got far more votes than before, but I've only played this game for the last two months really... and I'm fairly average of a player.

Yea i see the point.

Like i said i did not even realised one could see other peoples stats before, and could have hardly imagined anyone not captaining or leaving a round just because of that, sound so silly. But it does makes sense now when i look into restrospective at games where after a somewhat unbalanced full round, a 3rd of the population would leave(specially those high ranked).

However, i still apreciate being able to keep track of MY personal stats, why could the TAB stats peeking function not be removed, while still alowing US to use the Stats page on the main menu, do they HAVE to be connected?

@Yellow the change was announced on Reddit. An I predicted there that a certain crop of players will have an issue with it:

As Shogun explained other players can see certain stats of other players via TAB. Also we had captains careing a so much about their w/l that it hurt the game. Like when good captains very carefully pick what round they even put their name forward. Or when captains just quit a round in order to not get a loss or not quit but pass captain. Most extreme case is captains being so salty that they abadone ship and then hit change team hanging out in the lobby.

And all that for a stat that has only to do with you own accomblishment to certain degree. Being a good captain alone doesn't give you a ton of wins and few loses. It is 3v3 after all and crew also plays a major part in it. So all in favor of the stat being removed.

Yes, captain loss count and w/l ratio. For reasons stated below. As long as they are tracked people will protect them even if it is at the expense of others.

I could not care less for the captain rating being removed from the voting screen or not tbh.

The question is if our personal stats, on the main menu stats page(that nobody else can see) have been removed?
