As for people that pirate when they have no money and then do when they have money - its just called growing up.
And people in poor places will never be a lost sale to expensive games in the first place.
I agree about people who feel entitled to support without paying - that's a no go. I feel the same way about people swimming in money that pirate out of spite or just "because they can".
I expect actually most people do.

2. "Cheap" is subjective. When you're starting to mess with pouring money, time and effort into DRM that can otherwise go to being put towards the game itself, every single cent is utterly and completely wasted.
3. DRM is EXTREMELY limiting when it comes to stuff like modding. Ontop of that you also have the random requirement for an internet connection, their servers potentially going down.. The list goes on.
Please do some actual research next time before spewing out stupid shìt like this news post. It was frankly embarassing to read.

"DRM is a pain, it limits me!" It surely doesn't let me play offline for long.
"DRM slows down the game!" There has been numerous proofs about Denuvo slowing down some game. Any added obfuscation attempts on top of the bare application decreases performance, the question is how hard does it affect the game. And no, testing it on a high-end PC doesn't count as 'we actually didn't see a single impact'.
"People who are telling you, yes i just try it – i will buy it later (do you know anyone who ever did that?)" I pirated some games to try, then bought them in a sale. What on earth are you smoking. You don't even realize how condescending you sound at this part.
Whoever wrote this must be talking out of their♥♥♥♥♥
I have, personally, bought many games that I found to be good after trying them. Sometimes a free demo version is all it took, other times I've tried the full version.
There are perfectly legal means to do so, like borrowing a friends copy.
Yep, me as well. I wouldn't have bought those hadn't I tried them out first to see how good they were.
It seems to me that the person who wrote this post got his head full of the copyright industry's lies...
Is this a joke? Visit the crackwatch subreddit if you think people are lying when they say they will buy the game if they like it while having it cracked.
If you look at my library, there are at least 20 titles that I "tried", and then purchased afterwards. if I like a game, I will support the developer. In a world with almost no demos, pirating to try games is becoming more and more and more normal.
And DRM does have an effect on games. It's a per-game basis though. Not all games are affected by Denuvo.
Thank you for removing it from your product. I might purchase this game now to show my support for developers that understand that Denuvo is not the way to go.
In our tests (as a publisher) and the test of the developing studio we actually didn't see a single impact on running the software with DRM or without."
Oh, nice to know that they test their game with and without denuvo in their Core i9-9900k + 64 GB DDR4 + GTX 2080ti + Samsung 970 PRO nVME SSD and see no impact at all!
Regardless, I love these types of games and applaud you for dropping Denuvo. Game is added to my wish list as it looks good and fun.
