This Problem appears often not always.

When I start big screen, out of ammo or the lab the alarm noice starts and a continous vibration sometimes only at the left but most of the times at both controllers start, when I am at the center of the room.

If I move away of the center (first and second ground cirles in Stieam vr enviroment) of the room (in the real world or via the left thubstick) both stop.

D1, could you please share some more details on the alarm noise you're hearing from the controllers? What exactly does it sound like? Is it coming from one or both controllers? When does it seem to happen?

darthjarjar, I'm not quite sure what's wrong, but here are two more things to try:

1. Make sure "Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR" is up to date. You can check your version by looking at the properties on this file. Our latest versions are 0.1.1034.0 and newer. c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\MixedRealityVRDriver\bin\win64\driver_holographic.dll

2. Make sure you're playing an app that supports haptic feedback. The Lab or SteamVR Home are good ones to try.

If those don't help, please send us feedback by following these instructions [docs.microsoft.com] so we can look at your logs.

Haptics don't work for me either. I'm on build 17134.1 and my controllers have brand new batteries.

Jonathan, Thanks for the hints.
Haptic Feedback is now functioning.
However, sometimes there is an alarm noice together with vibration at both controllers...

baquerone, motion reprojection works on both the Beta version and the latest stable release. It is off by default on both, and both require editing the config file to turn it on.

koboldskeep, the proximity sensor should work once you've upgraded Windows to the April 2018 update.

Envious, would you please follow these instructions to send us feedback using the Feedback Hub? That will send us logs to help us figure out what is wrong. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/mixed-reality/enthusiast-guide/using-steamvr-with-windows-mixed-reality#sharing-feedback-on-steamvr

I just updated both the Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR App and Windows to the latest Version, haptics works fine now when I tried a Windows Store App, but SteamVR wont even boot anymore, keep getting Error -301
