When you deliver the "winning" blow is there a zoom in slow replay of it?

And if there is not, would it even be something to consider adding?

I am hopeful of a melee vs melee only battles mode as range (should) always beat melee, I see unarmored heads, and irl all it would take would be a .22 to the eye to bring a fight to its conclusion.

This looks very interesting Dev.

Thanks Sir Tanne. For Rome, I wasn't planning to put chariots in. But the melee-only setting is definitely a thing; there will be no ranged fighters. Thrown weapons will be a special equipped item that can be used once.

Animals will definitely be in the game and the promotion system from the first game will be back in the second.

Save for the chariots, I hope I checked off most of your wishlist there!

My personal wishlist for AoG II Rome:

Combat on Chariots
Different upgradable types of Chariots that can do extra damage (spikes on wheels etc..)
Chariots that can be stolen from the player and vice versa if you are killed on them (then sold for profit perhaps?)
Long lance type weapons that are good for countering Chariots.
Thrown Weapons (Pilum etc..) high damage but with a limited number of uses.
Upgradable shields that have a higher chance (per upgrade) to block thrown weapons.
Animals (Lions, Tigers etc..) Animal taming skills with a random chance that animals fight for the player or AI.
More indepth decisions/story regarding who you can fight for and possibly a progressive/promotion system depending on who you fight for.

I look forward to AoG II Rome. I think with how the basis of these games are with the Arena/Pit style of combat it's certainly more suited to the Rome Melee only setting and considering there's currently only a handful on the market attempting the same thing but with very basic depth and GFX, I can see AoG II Rome setting the benchmark for this style of game. Best of luck with it.
