I guess I'm just not really used to devs genuinely looking to improve their EA games, as sad as that is. I guess it just didn't really occour to me that someone was actually treating an EA game as such.
I hadn't even heard of this until the other day, but the trailer was enough for a blind-buy. If this is the attitude you have towards it, I have no doubt it will be more than worth it.

No problem, I didn't think you were sarcastic. I was just asking you for a better solution because, you know, we always look for better solutions to everything.
At the end of the day, this game is in early access and that's what early access should be for: finding better solutions.

I really like that solution. As I said, it's quite creative and it's a good way to do it without totally nuking the leaderboards.
I think things like that should be tried, instead of always going with a standard out-of-the-box response. I was merely trying to say that, and that I found it an interesting way to deal with the issue. I certainly meant no criticism there. I'm not the sort of person would use a word like that sarcastically or in a judgmental way. Sorry if you took it that way. I'm not always really good at wording things the way I want.
I'd love to give you a better solution, but I honestly can't think of one better than that. It both solves the problem and keeps people from complaining about their scores being wiped. I think that's about as clean as it gets.

So you did something like apply a global multiplier to points after the fix? Something like point inflation?
I've got to say, that's a very novel way to deal with the issue.

The change has been made just to give justice back to those players who have already played the survival as it should have been (hard) but they've been passed (in terms of score) by those how played in easy mode.
A distinction with separate leaderboards is always possible to be implemented but it wouldn't fix the original issue.

Just a question, but instead of forcing everyone who wants to play survival into hard, why not just have different leaderboards for different difficulties?
It's nothing 100 games haven't done in the past.
