Vehicles are not planned, since the game will focus on customizing your character. Vehicles that you get into "replace" your character, since you (and all your customizations) are inside the vehicle. 5089 worked around this with hoverboards and I may consider something similar.

Multiplayer features are also not planned, because I want to focus on a stronger single player experience & campaign that I know all players will benefit from. Multiplayer implementation and maintenance takes up lots of development time that I'd rather spend elsewhere, at least for the initial rollout.

Thank you for your interest, and I really believe these compromises will result in a better game!

I hope the spiritual successor to 5089 has land vehicles like rovers with full cockpit view. Also easy to set up Multiplayer. I could never figure out port forwarding.

Keep up the good work

I bet this will be a sweet fit.

Yep, it was originally called Project Morpheus. I've heard good things, but haven't tried it myself yet.

@phr00t Speaking of VR, Sony actually has something for that. I heard it's called the PlayStation VR.

Unlikely, Paddy. I like to focus on PC & VR development, which already fills my plate rather full.

Will that 5089 spiritual successor also come to Xbox One and PS4? (And PSVita)

I don't want to give too much away, but it is possible :-)

Do you think we could see the return of the aliens from the first game in the sucessor? Maybe we could have some humanoids or mutants in the mix of robots for variety?
