Great update, always love more stuff with the gods and more narrative moments at sea - sorry, sky....

But guys, we *really* need an answer to speed. Multiple endgame ambitions down and it really is crazy to be moving through the same 4 regions at the exact same speed as when I first logged in, 60hrs later...

If you don't want to give us engines (which I think is a strange decision overall, given the opponents clearly have them), please consider the idea of an hours loom we feed raw hours into in order to speed up game clock speed like the time compression effect in X2.

Will there be an option to use the old UI from the early access version in this update. I still haven't been able to play the full game because of the new UI.

Sounds like some nice improvements!
If I may;
The attention to detail and speed of addressing issues by everyone working on Sunless Skies stands out in positive contrast to many other organizations.
Now with content improvements occurring we gamers most assuredly have Failbetters favor
I enjoy both the game and customer service far more than initially expected.
Kudos!

I just wish that story components that reduced your aspects didn't do so permanently. It's a real FeelsBadMan moment and makes me not want to engage with that component of the game in subsequent playthroughs, but somehow I don't think that's the goal.

Okay... But worldbuilding isn't what needs work.
There desperately needs to be more combat progression if this game is going to be fun in the long term.
How do I improve my heat management?
Every single weapon is less efficient damage-to-heat-wise than the horrible starting gun.
When I found out that there was nothing that I could spend my money on to make fights more enjoyable it just crushed my interest for this game.
More♥♥♥♥♥♥to dodge is not the answer!

Seconding Emrys here. Some of the gamepad mappings for interfaces are positively baffling, and the fact that KB/M and gamepad controls have to be manually toggled between is downright inexplicable. I've played several recent games which switch seamlessly between KB/M and gamepad contextually.

THANK YOU

I think the new terrain will be fine if it's interesting enough. I like the idea of some tight tunnels and narrow gaps, but if it makes locations horribly inconvenient to reach (like the Elethurian Portal in the Reach - not only very long but ultimately a very uninteresting route), then it just drags me away from those stories.

Regarding your chart and current captain/lineage: no story progress or qualities will be lost with the update, but you'll need to rediscover Albion. Hopefully it'll be fun to (re)discover!
