People don't understand that this game could cause Valve to be sued because of promoting such content as non consensual sex. It's LITERALLY IN THE TITLE OF THE GAME. Stop crying and go to your worthless Epic store and play fortnite.

Steam doesn't actually care about the game or any of this political bs, they just want money. If they cared, this wouldn't have gotten greenlit. If you want to take it to political matters, Steam has every right to suppress any and all things on their platform. The question is if they should. They need a standard to what can pass and not pass because this only got blacklisted when they received backlash.

PS. To those talking about free speech doesn't save you from consequences, it saves you from government consequences (in the US). If you go onto private property and tell the owner "F you," he has every right to throw you out.

Just a friendly reminder that 99% of the time, when people are talking about free-speech in relation to twitter, steam, or any other social platform.

They are not talking about the first amendment or any other free speech laws relating to the government.

They are talking about free speech as a whole, and whether the platform has a right to censor people or not, it still being wrong.

@Baron Robie
If that was the only factor they would region lock it.

Just a friendly reminder that since Steam is not a government run system, they do not have to follow that 'right to free speech' when deciding which games to distribute. They could very well decide not to have anymore otome games in general, and they'd be in the right. I think that seeing as it is a very controversial topic of the game, they likely made the best choice for the platform. Just some topics are too risky to get into, and seeing how heated all the the comments here are, it certainly is just that.
