Get a set of speakers or some headphones. It's much less boring with sound!

I have to play this game without any sounds. It's boring. I have version 4 of the game.

Thanks! Working on the next update now and hope to have it out soon!

Thanks inXile! The game's looking better and better! I do think a Classic mode with no map, no enemy danger indicator, and as many elements removed as to simulate the old games. I think many would love that, and would work as a very hard mode!

Good luck, you're doing a great job!

I've learned in decades of gaming (first PC game was Bard's Tale 3) is you can fix bugs but can't fix a game being just bad. BT4 is great in so many ways, and creates a feeling of true exploration.

One thing I'd ask the devs to do is add a "Classic" mode that removes the map, removes the enemy strength indicators, removes most descriptions and comparisons of items and equipment. If you want it to be like the trilogy, that would do the job! Oh, and remove waypoints/journal to boot!

The way to go isn't destroying the game's rating, it means NO ONE WILL BUY IT, and w/o money, the devs won't be able to keep working on the game. Surviving for zero wage isn't possible, but let's see how far you would get. They're not a big publisher with millions, they're a small dev surviving from pay cheque to pay cheque. They need good reviews/word of mouth, so they need people who trashed them to change their review if the bugs that made them give a thumb down are fixed.

I don't see them begging for reviews, they are making a very open statement that is truthful and making a very valid request for updating reviews based on the bugs fixed for those affected by them.

Love how so many entitled kids take every word out of context or lacks any level of empathy. Take this attitude into the real world and you frankly won't get far.

Frankly I feel it's a real shame at how fast so many players are quick to post negative reviews because they are having issues with the game due to the mentioned bugs and stability issues, yet rarely ever go back to update.

How would you feel if you were on a project that had a lot of issues that you didn't forsee, fixed them, and then still was crapped on by people who are stuck in the past or unable to overcome the initial negative experience, but want to live in that negative moment after the fact? Yeah, time to grow up kiddos.

Waiting on Linux release before I put my money down, would really prefer to play it without having to go through WINE.

Many people bag on the puzzles, but that's the whole reason I'm wanting to pick up this game! It's been decades since a game made me keep track of things myself. I remember back in the days of Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord and making my own damn maps, one step at a time, using a location spell to make sure I didn't get teleported. These days, it's the computer shoving all that information in your face, ala Skyrim or Assassin's Creed. I like needing to keep track of this stuff myself.

Yay for Linux build finally coming! Are you using a new enough Unreal engine to use Vulkan?
