Supplement:
@stoeker:
The solution for this is called "signaling control" and you find stations and warehouses with signaling control if you scroll down in your building list.

@Timo:
You are a publicly traded company that is owned by stockholders, not by you. You are managing the company not owning the shares, so it is not up to you to buy shares of your company in your role as the manager.
We implemented a game option to turn off merger though, if you have a problem with this mechanic. Simply check the additional settings before starting a map to turn it off.
The natural defense against this mechanic is to play better than the AI, to give you the ability to buy their shares instead of the other way around.

@Realpit2:
There will be no multiplayer in Railway Empire.

It is not the game having these problems it is you having these problems with the game, there is a difference. ;)
Scaling has been a design decision. This is a train game and not a real life simulator. Having real life scales would make train stations and trains super small, so that you would have a hard time playing the game or enjoying your engines. Wewant our game to be fun, so that is out of the question.

Ist das Problem mit den Aktien Käufen gelöst? Is it still not possible to buy own stock/share ?
The other non-player character would buy your empire without defense.

Please, please, please fix station unloading behavior in the next community update. It is the most frustrating issue in the whole game, and has been since the beginning. For example, suppose you have parallel tracks going into a two track station, with an X crossing in front of the station so that trains can go into either bay. They WON'T DO IT! If two trains are on the same route, one will go into a bay, while the second will wait at a signal on the main track, even though there is a perfectly good bay it can go into. This makes it so stations only handle about 50% of the capacity they should, and causes all sorts of backups and blockages. It gets even worse with a four train station. It causes players to spend a lot of their time working around this issue by building extra stations and tracks (if there is even room in a city for them), when they would rather be expanding and playing the game.

Open Train Tycoon Deluxe has multiplayer and a pause feature. It's really not a problem to have both. Just give everyone access to the pause/unpause button, give people a way to communicate with each other, and give the host of the game the ability to kick anyone that abuses the pause button.

Multiplayer would be nice but there is a problem. In order for multiplayer to work right it would have to be more like a RTS. You would lose the pause ability. Granted, that could be done but, it would also completely change gameplay. The way you plan out your routes, build your trains and develop your industries would have to be done on the fly instead of careful planning while the game is paused.

Hey endiendo, it's a game. A simulation. The choice of scale to make the game enjoyable isn't a problem, it's a game.

Wasn't aware of this upcoming patch/DLC. What a nice surprise! :rebeccahappy:
