Well, I bought it because of this, and I bought it before it went on sale because you released on GOG :)

Beautiful game, like if Journey, Ico, and Abzu had a baby.

Now if only it would stop heating up my CPU to over 90C and the GPU to just under that if I take it off Low graphics settings...

I have an i7-7700 and a GTX1060, pretty sure that I shouldn't have to turn the settings down and limit the framerate to 30 in order to keep my PC under 80C.

@Kaldaien Thanks for enlightening me about how exactly Denuvo works. For some reason I thought it was disk activity, maybe all the reports about Denuvo causing SSD failure. Thanks.
Thank you Devs, You've created amazing project! I LOVE IT!
I believe you'll create many other great projects but I beg you DON'T PUT $H1T like Denuvo IN YOUR GAMES as I hate thinks like it so a lot of other people do!

Thanks again and wish all the best!

Actually I downloaded the cracked version to give it a shot. After witnessing the beauty and quality of this game I had to send my support to the Devs. This game is a masterpiece!:steamhappy:

Well that was a big waste of money Dev's wasn't it. Sooo you don't trust your customers but when its cracked days after release you act like you're doing us a favor by removing it? You're just worried about your bottom line which Denuvo isn't worth it to pay for and keep when its been cracked regardless.... Shoulda just went drm free from the begining like gog and then I would've bought one... Now I might just go sailing instead.....

You're still dumbasses to have used snake oil on your game to "increase sales". However by removing Denuvo I'm now gonna buy your game on sale at some point instead of ignoring it until I can get it for 1$ in a bundle. Good on you.

Now I can't start the game. It gives me a warning saying that RiME is trying to start with the launch parameter "-NOSPLASH", and then enters and endless cycle of "trying to start - throw the warning - trying to start again - throw the warning", etc.

Just letting you know in case you're not aware of this issue.

Soon, I will be buying this game!

Yay! Now I actually want this game.

@Esrevinue: That's not how Denuvo works. Denuvo runs DRM code through a virtual machine, which is a virtual CPU architecture that is non-native to your CPU. This virtual machine uses encryption characteristics unique to your specific combination of hardware (kind of like public key cryptography). The thing that makes this process slow is that virtual machine and the fact that it doesn't use Just-in-Time translation to native CPU instructions for performance critical stuff (that would defeat the purpose of anti-tamper). There's no disk activity of any sort, just a lot of CPU overhead from simulating a CPU architecture that doesn't actually exist whenever DRM code runs.
