Thank you for your reply, Ben!
If the FOV in my shots A1 and B1 was broken then the current correct FOV looks much worse. I hope you can include a FOV slider to make the FOV the way it was before the patch.

Concerning the glare. Last year I also took shots of the same locations with the Halloween content off and the glare was still present on the windows and the armor. So it didn’t come from the candles and pumpkins.
The objects look much better with the glare on them and it would be nice if you returned it.

Concerning the flags. Adjusting the in-game brightness setting doesn’t return the fine details to the flags such as stitches that were on them before the patch.
It’s a pity that the graphics were downgraded.

Ahh I see. The field of view in the wider version was actually a bug. That was fixed in a previous patch. The current FOV is correct (and the same for all areas, which it wasn't when it was broken).

The glare in those shots comes from the lights on Halloween objects, like the candles and pumpkins, which explains why its not there otherwise.

The "flatness" of the flags seems to be to do with the lighting. In particular there are Eyes in the first screenshot, which are casting lights that brings out the folds in the cloth. However I also re-lit the entire game to be a little brighter in a previous patch, after receiving a lot of feedback that it was often too dark and difficult to play. It's possible some areas look a little flat since that change, at the expense of making the room overall easier to see, so it's a trade-off. You can try adjusting the in-game brightness setting and seeing if that helps too, the second statue screenshot does look a lot brighter than it should be.

Hello, Ben,
The change in FOV is very noticeable in the Grand Foyer on the balconies. I’ve uploaded some screenshots so you could see the difference in FOV and other changes. The first shots were taken during Halloween last year and the second ones were taken recently.
In the A2 and B2 shots you can see that the FOV is much wider and the absence of the glare on the windows and on the armor.
In the С2 shot you can see the flags became flat and less detailed, the statue has squarish palms.
Please tell me why the FOV and the quality of some objects have changed.

Catta: the FOV and windows have not been changed, or at least they were not changed deliberately, so it may be a bug. Which areas do you encounter the issues in?

Glad to hear everyone is enjoying the update :)

Thanks a lot, Ben, for fulfilling my wish by adding the Christmas content! :steamhappy: The decorations look wonderful!
Please include a field of view slider or return the FOV the way it was before the update. It’s too wide now. Also it would be nice if you returned the glare on the windows, they look dull without it.
Merry Christmas, Ben! Have a great time! :sunspeed::snowflakes::sunspeed:

Nice one guys. Also, from the half an hour I have spent with it so far, i'd just like to say thank you, thank you, thank you. The game takes me right back to my old Myst days. Not hard to tell you guys liked that game lol.
