Betrifft das nur Fundamente oder auch Truhen? Und was ist mit den aufgewerteten Altaren, die in die Wand gewachsen sind?
Weiß jemand etwas genaueres?

I really hope this does only roll out on the official servers. And that the DEVs don't think "This is really hard to code, its easier to do a job lot.....yeah lets just fix it all, and go for an early pint!"

@Vlad From what I understand, this change only affects official Funcom servers. If you have, or play on, a private server that has, for example, less building placement restrictions installed, you won't notice the change. (singleplayer isn't affected either I think)

NICE! good work on giving everyone a heads up. This is a step in the right direction. maybe one day dragons will stop stomping everyone into the ground(literally), and arrows will stop getting super glued to our hands.

For those who dont understand this fix;

Foundations that overlap are your example. So if you put a foundation down, then another one that's NOT connected to the first but it shares the same space...well that's going to lead to destruction of your structure. like two squares forming a star or what ever, or two fence foundations making a X or +....fences that penetrate each other.

Also, what will happen in single player worlds? same deal? whats up funcom?

@Beckynerd They said cross formation, not cross section. When you place a fence, and then place another in the same spot so it looks like this --> X or + There's your screenshot.

Screenshots of what you mean with the cross sections would actually be helpful instead of assuming we all know whilst waiting for D-DAY...

I do not understand but I'm seriously worried, does that mean putting a chest on top of the other? because I do it!

after reading all the comments I see alot of you are ignorant to what is going on. Players can build little towers for land claim and add 36 tiles ontop of one single pillar (but it looks like only one is there) then they can use this to dupe items and crash the server by dismantling one tile "POOF SERVER GOES DOWN" So funcom fixing this is another way to stop these trollish exploiters for cheating the game and system to win. Also these annoying server crashing land claim prevents you from raiding them because if you blow one up....server goes down.

A standard way of placing gates into the front of buildings, described in the post "Building Gates Help Please" of March 13, 2017 {LINK REMOVED} , is to place 3 fence foundations at the front edge of 3 foundations to make the gate line up with the rest of the building.

Will this fix remove these gates? Will you be changing gates to allow them to snap to the front of tiles?

It would be a shame for people who followed the advice in the referenced post to lose the front of their buildings.

I never liked building overlapping or odd angle juxtaposed building systems because I felt something like this might happen. Therefore I am not worried about my structure failing anytime soon due to changes. Still my base is so ultra massive and tall that it still causes minor localized LOD and fps issues when I am inside it. If this collapses then I will have to accept that it's too large for local physics grids on the server to handle for most PCs.
