The beta is great! You have likely already considered these ideas, but just in case, here are some suggestions:
- I'm hoping that if/when there are bosses, it will be possible to get some HUGE enemies. Sky-covering robots with weakpoints and patterns, maybe a mothership that is constantly releasing mini-droids, and other things like that. A bullet-hell style boss requires dodging, head slips past bullets, etc. would be awesome too.
- It is hard to actually kill any droids by hitting them with the Volton. Is there a difference between striking with the laser and spike sides? Maybe add slow-mo when you pull a droid in, that way players can line up a dramatic slice.
- An additional environment (maybe even with terrain that blocks or redirects bullets) would be great. The current environment is beautiful, but mixing it up every once in a while would be refreshing.

All told, the game is amazing and I can't wait to see what you guys do with it

Easily the best Vive title by a long shot! And a superb update! Thank you!!

This could be taboo, but I was curious as to whether you'd perhaps considered some sort of single player only progression system. Even trivial accolades such as cool emblems or perhaps a colour skin to change the shield's colour might serve to add additional motivation to keep your fans playing. I love the emphasis on leaderboards knitting the community together and any sort of level / progression system would be purely incidental to the gameplay and aesthetic in nature.. But it could be cool :) depending how realistic it would be to design and implement such a thing.

Either way, this game rocks! Keep it up!

@James: yes, the scout droid has such an algorithm. It's not used all of the time.

Have you guys ever considered having one or more of the bots firing at a point which intercepts the player's vector (ie leading them) rather than fire at their player's position?
