IT_GLe: This is because you are with Windows 7. If you have a high resolution monitor or a multi-monitor configuration, performance won't be great as stated above. Windows 8.1 and 10 have APIs that allow the capture of the screen more efficiently which is why it is recommended.

Is anyone get anything better than 15-20 fps with Virtual Desktop ? if so, pls tell me your secret, because I have been trying many things without any good results so far. Windows 7 pro, i7-5820k, with 32GB Ram and GTX 970. I'm never using more than 30% of CPU or GPU capacity and yet the stuttering issues is very real... as if the app was not optimised at all. (also Riftcat user)

jdben3: Make sure the Virtual Desktop Service is running on your machine and that the motion controls option is checked.

Chasing Demon Studios: Not yet, I did order one however and will look into adding support. For the moment I recommend the Rift which will provide a far better experience for 399.

Does Virtual Desktop work with the just released Windows HP Mixed Reality headset? I bought it strictly for that reason.
