Just a suggestion. It would be cool if there were a small chance surviving, when taking close contact with a xenomorph. Smashing fire button for higher chance and if you succeed, it takes good portion of your armour. When armour shows zero, you would have extremely small chance surviving close contact with a xenomorph or none at all.

Since update I get the following errors:

1_ The D3D device has a non-zero reference count, meaning some objects were not released.

2_ Failed creating Direct3D device objects.

Messing with power / light seems like an interesting next step. In regards to guns; the idea of having some kind of pistol / gun where you can fire as fast as you can click seems interesting to me.

I wholeheartedly agree with adding more gameplay and map elements such as this! Gonna give this a whirl right now.

There's been lots of other suggestions for stuff to add to the maps, like power generators that affect lighting and turrets... any plans for those?

I think there should be pistols. Maybe different armors. MORE GUNS!!
