@nottrusted - multiple component replacements, which is also important to avoid Mass-juggling, is included in the Ship Designer item on the roadmap, v2.3.x.

@mbridgham - Often, you'll find that the first boarding chews through their soldiers and boarding crew. In the second boarding run, you're going to start getting standard crew in the mix -- hover over them to see their jobs. E-Tech, Pilots, Navs ... now you are crippling their ship. Often, the best strategy is to board twice, hit them with a few light weapons and then board again.

Ships are destroyed when their Hull reaches 0. Standard Damage causes the most Hull Damage while Radiation and Void cause less Hull Damage. Radiation causes 33% of its damage to the hull while Void causes 50%. So, look for weapons that cause more non-standard damage to avoid hull collapse. The Void / Rad damage are putting more of their damage to the crew and enemy ship components.

@mbridgham - on boarding -- you can see the component you hit only after you win the fight. It comes up in the Sabotage option in victory. Hitting the Bridge or Shalun-forbid the Void Engine can definitely be a game over winning blow.

Otherwise, yes you do return to ship combat. That is the balance of boarding -- you need to survive at least a ship combat turn in between boarding rounds, and successfully make your boarding rolls again. That also means that if you are roaring form a distance (range 5 with Blood Game or range 3 with Boarding Assault) you need multiple Talents to be able to keep it up turn after turn.

@sundalo261 - glad you enjoyed the read and I hope it clarified some things :D We're working toward a volume 2 with some more of the history of the Guild War and the Exodus.

@tchey - many thanks for the encouragement. That's gas in the tank, my friend!

@mbridgham - thank you for your support of both the KickStarter and the game!! We hope you'll leave a review :D

I thought we were one of the best indi devs around, but i may change my opinion and think you are the best. You are doing an amazing work with updates and communication with all your games, years after release, and it's really appreciated.

Finally couldn't wait for my kickstarter game and bought into
early access. You've done it again, or I should say surpassed yourselves.
