Why not free weekend all weekends until sale ended? :(

Well, some friends and I decided to try the campaign in multiplayer (à la NWN2 style), and I just have to ask: Whose 'brilliant' idea was it to program the NPC dialogue for traders to always force *all* players into a cinematic whenever one of them goes into the store to sell gear? I mean come on...! >:^/

Had heaps of fun this weekend playing it over the weekend! Nice D&D vibe and feel to it will be playing it a lot more i hope that they will expand on it more. Other palyable races as Half Orc would be nice can't wait to see what they bring on the table next.

Darkbridger I had the exact same issue. Myself and two friends wanted to play this weekend and usually these games that are free show up in your library but i guess steam had some sort (or sword coast did) snafu this weekend and i dont think anyone played it for free.,

I wouldnt say more in depth for alot less, with the other games you are also not getting the patches and updates either like you are with this game and not to mention first expansion is going to be free.

I wanted to see what it was all about. As for the game play, it was similar to that of other Forgotten Realms games, but with nice changes. I'm noticing that there are multiple ways to go through the story mode.

I was angry that certain characters I played with being murdered &not being able to stop it. May have influenced my choices a bit. I think certain things would change if I made different choices, which makes me want to replay it to do so.

I liked the chance to play it, though it wasn't enough time to do much. I would have to say no to buying at full price. At 50% it may be tempting. But I will have to wait.

It isn't bad, but there are other games more indepth that cost a lot less.

No difference between basic and deluxe modules.

Figured I would try this. Did not see the game in my library so clicked on the Free Weekend promo on the store page. On the game store page I clicked on the Play Game button. Nothing happened. No download queued, no popup, nothing. Went to the news site to see if something was happening and saw this thread mentioning the additional account creation (which I missed on the game store page). As I wasn't really interested in the multi-player aspects of this, I guess I'll go check some other game out instead. <shrug>

Just in case a developer or something is watching these posts...
In what way does the consumer benefit from having to make an account to play the game in single player?
Don't use offline mode as a way to dodge the question either. I'd rather have no answer than a non-answer.
