As of 1/4/2014, we released an update that should address the problems some people are encountering with DK2. Try again, and if it still doesn't work, ensure your Rift Display Mode is set to Extended, and that you have the latest Oculus runtime from Oculus' developer website.

Not working for me with DK2.
I tried windowmode, fullscreen, different resolutions and graphic settings.
Every time i see the VR warning screen for 1 sec and crash to desktop.

Thanks for the suggestion, Pug.

FictionX, according to Oculus' FAQ [support.oculus.com], the Oculus DK2 can run with Windows 7 or 8, Mac OS 10.8 or higher, or Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.

Heaney, in the future, we may very well add Direct-to-Rift support. In the Oculus SDK's current state, however, it is still too early to use. Rest assured that the game looks and plays just the same in Extended mode. Let us know if you have any issues getting started, and we'll be happy to help you out!

To Heaney: It's fully compatible if it has integrated the most current SDK. It is a developer device, direct to rift mode is not required that's why extended mode exists... If you are worried about "hacky workarounds" you ignored oculus when they said only buy this if you are an enthusiast. You should have waited for CV1! Until they perfect direct mode I love using extended mode, much better performance.

Um it's not "fully compatible" unless it supports Direct to Rift mode, which is the proper way for Oculus Rift software to launch.

Extended mode with "drag the game window into the DK2's screen" is a hacky workaround, and should NOT be described as "fully compatible".

Sounds good - but could you please specify which OS'es VR works with?
