Is this still happening?

I think it's more about Valve time than anything else. Everything and anything involving Valve makes projects delayed.

so basically, capcom lied about linux support, duped thousands of users into buying a game they cant play, and went totally silent about development for the whole year.

I reached out to their dev team to offer to test and help out the same week they announced this, and never heard anything.

It is unlikely this game will ever be released unless more people hold capcom accountable.

keep posting here, and their twitter, and send them emails until they 1: release the game in beta or 2: admit they are in over their heads and wont port the game.

Warning: Do not purchase the SFV before the SteamOS logo is up there. Otherwise your money will be counted towards the Windows version in their statistics. Do not buy a promise that someday they'll deliver the game to SteamOS. Buy the game after they've delivered the game. Thank you for listening.
