some Cars and Monte Carlo are nearly undriveable now,

I got the Logitech MOMO. not the red one :)

The FFB si suddenly steering from right to left to right and so on. Its impossible to drive in a straight line :( And sometime I got an abrupt loss of FFB power.
You get more Feedback from the car now, thats true. BUT you cant usw the feedback.

Thats sad!

And the some options in the Menu arent linkt to keys is really annoying. I cant change the skin or the weather anymore. Aswell the game isnt saving my key assignments :(

Hope there will be an FFB update with the german stages.

The game feedback after this update has made a massive difference (G27 user).. The wheel feedback definitely mimics more closely what a real car does when sliding (been in a few of these myself, some intentional, some not, both on tar and dirt). All tarmac sections are an absolute joy to drive now, you can actually feel dips in the road surface around corners. :D

That said, the game feedback on gravel still varies far too wildly... By this I mean when the car is rolling smoothly (even around corners), the wheel feels feather light. but when you catch a really rough patch of road, the wheel jerks like crazy. :/ Reducing the feedback strength makes the "light" side lighter but then hardly affects the opposite end.

I've only played around with the new advanced settings a little bit so far, I do plan to go through them with a finetooth comb in the next day or three. When I do, I'll start a discussion to share my experience and get some insight from fellow cliff jumpers (read: drivers).

Swinging effect? Wheel tries to turn right direction for self? Really? Game that called sim? FFB have just taken leap to the arcade mode... Better drive without than this new one...

I wonder. All those complaining and raging about the new FFB-update, did they just try a few stages and give up? I had to tweak the settings ofcourse but my G25 works lovely now. It gives me a great intuitive feeling.

For the ragers amongst you, let me offer you a piece of advice. Go online or to your gamestore and buy Richard Burns Rally (I'm not advertising btw, just offering something to compare it to). Try getting to grips and fiddle with the handling of those cars for a while until you're satisfied. Then you'll know what a real rally sim feels like. Meanwhile take up Dirt Rally and try to find a balance that comes close to the handling in RBR.

Before the update it was extremely difficult IMO, but with the new FFB-update and some tweaking you can get close.

Codies will keep working on it, I'm sure but it takes a lot of time. Great job so far though!

Keep up the good work, Codies!
