I seriously don't get all the negative feedback this is getting. This severely balances a very poor combat system atm. Mage characters were atrocious before this update since they lost pretty much any fight. Throw a Fang at a Sana and she's a goner because the fang got away with so many exploding dice that the Sana couldn't do anything. Now the game is a lot less about random chance so now Mage class characters can somewhat go toe to toe with Warriors. Not really on the same level but now it's not an instant defeat. Plus, it puts a lot more thought into card burning which was pretty much an auto move if the item wasn't of extreme value. So seriously people, quit whining because your favorite hero got nerfed a tad bit. You can still run around as your Fangs and Brun's and do massive damage. You'll just have to put a bit more thought behind it. Though the guards do need a bit of a buff after this. Perhaps giving like 3 spirit or so.

This is amazing, I love it. Too many games where I have been crushed by wyld dice gone... wild... Anyways, this update is amazing, and I love the changes to some of the cards and the new additions.

I can't say I'm too excited about this, LoG. This seems to me like this heavily incentives Rot builds.

This is just another buff to Fang...i dont think this was well planned. characters that dont rely on magic and corruption got nerfed badly. this isnt right, plus the guards were the only semi-solid methods of killing creatures like Fang in the past due to him not having much of an advantage vs them...and now they are useless. i love this game but please stop buffing characters that do not need it..

PS. thanks for the novels. i love them so far.

so in summation... warrior characters are heavily nerfed, Brun's acheivement is no longer possible unless you get crazy lucky, explode cards like burning are only useful for mages, and rot characters are even more unbalanced compared to others (are they going to get a buff every major update?). seeing less and less reason to try for spirit stone victories now.
I understand the need to implement explosion limitations, as I've lost to guards who had 1/3 my dice due to crazy ammounts of explosions, but I am still overall unhappy with this change.

Fair, Too good i had the chance to beat the king, who had 7 life, with a Barnaby, who got really bullied by the other player, and I decided go ‘I have nothing to lose’ directly with the king, and killing him, thanks to a miraculous 10 dice explodes...

After reading about the explode pool, I am not sure, if I will continue playing Armello.
