Off all swedish kings and queens you choose this useless noble-loving turncoat (left to be catholic)? She ruined the finances by granting way to much stuffs to the nobles - the peasens in the parlament where afraid they would turn into serves due to the nobles gaining strenght. Karl IX had a lot of fixing to do after her mess.

With that said- sounds like a perfect play for a defensive player as myself.

A total shame that after so many years of CIV, Dacian or Romanian isn't there. One of the most important CIV of all times in Europe.

Napoleon rule only 10 years and he reshaped our Civilization. Napoleon Codex, begining of modern state nationalism and revolution in warfare are most prominent. Under Kristina were some reforms made by her chancellor and that's it. Its just only PR token women.

When will you fix your privacy policy? Red Shell may be gone, but your policy remains.

Without a privacy policy which demonstrates that you have changed your ways, we can't trust that you won't simply use other means to collect the same information about us.

You never answer these questions, which means you feel it'd be more damaging to engage and respond with "we're not going to" than to ignore people or to actually consider the problem.

We shouldn't have to worry about your game doubling as a data collection engine.

Maybe a freeware or freemium version where you're explicit to us about the trade-off. But a triple-A title?

Eh, I'm not a fan of the leader choice myself, but a lot of the comments seem to be just criticizing the choice because she 'only ruled for 10 years', 'bankrupted the country', and 'abdicated'.

You know who else that describes? Napoleon, who's been the leader of France in like half the games of Civ.

Looks to be a very fun Civ to play. Late game Culture bonuses, plus buffs to great people and diplomacy. Civ is all about re-writing your own history so I can entertain some "alternative" leaders in that sense, we don't have to be 100% accurate.

But uh... who in the fjord is this "leader" ???

It's even disrespectful to the many influential and great Swedes there have been, and a shame to see objectively lame and lackluster leaders shoehorned in for the sake of inclusivity. There are so many great female leaders in the game already, and better choices for more female leaders that aren't as absurd. You can be inclusive without being 100% equal representation, especially when achieving that requires false representation of a culture you're appropriating into the game. Maybe just have a selectable male and female for each Civ from now on, yea?
