Oh yeah, and to the guy who asked if there's a cockpit view yet - you can easily install a mod to give you actual cockpits as well - all mod installation is the same and it's VERY easy ... all can be found on the egosoft forum, or with a google search. Just look for "X3TC Cockpit mods" and you'll be given a few choices some with window coloration / reflection, some without, and some with or without the gravidar and HUD on the control panels.

I suggest the no-reflection versions... unless you like a blue tint when ever you use the cockpit view.

"You're really missing out..." - Agreed. :)

I'd recommend MGM + MBRR which is sort of similar to your recommendation, although MBRR is as far as I know incompatible with X3AP, sadly.

The mods for this game are amazing. You're really missing out if you play without them. I recommend XRM Mod (still works) and possibly Improved Races mod - though I wouldn't mess with that one right away, or you could end up destroying your chance to start plotlines (because it makes the different factions take each other's territory)

You need some mod for that - take a look at the egosoft-forum, there's a lot to find there...

Has this game still no cockpit view?

heh, yeah, I didn't give that part much thought, you're right. I have not played as much as I planned since I installed it again, but I still have not noticed any issues since the update. Plotlines appear to be working so far, and no strange bugs (for X3...)

Improved races functionality is definitely still working too, I did get around to testing that one a bit.

@Alpha-methyl :

That's the .cat/.dat filepairs you usually need to rename after an update ( or better before, if you already installed a mod ) .

Just to point people into the right direction. :)
