@Beast
There are different kinds of mushrooms. Only the pulsating ones can be harvested.

So I curiously downloaded the pirated version, because I can. And to my skepticism & dense poverty made me try to play that game for the last 2 days. Thing is, I cannot harvest mushrooms . It's always poisonous mushrooms from day 01. I have restarted the game more than some odd times. I really hope the "No catch" attachment wasnt just a publicity stunt bros.

I'll openly admit, Acid Wizard, when I saw Darkwood get greenlit and make it into Early Access, and I actually saw gameplay, I was hyped... but that was during the early alphas, and I didn't think it'd move forward. Gotta say, I'm glad to be wrong. You all stuck to your craft and made Darkwood into what it is, and that's something to be admired. Keep doing what y'all do and making awesome games.

I still remember years back when i was using pirated content how glad i was when a developer was doing something like this, and i could play a nice game that i could not afford, without feeling as bad about it. I understand this decision was taken by a mix of factors, as in the game was already out there and the grey markets, but even so, quite an altruistic decision putting the full game out there for free, instead of just making a demo. For that you guys have got a new fan and client in me. Thank you The Acid Wizards.

You've heard it a bunch now I'm sure but just so you know the gravity of your decision to upload the game and offer it for free, I as well purchased the game as a result. Well done Acid Wizard. well done. Also, your game rocks too :)

I'm not saying anything different here, but I had been on the fence for a while. Darkwood looks like a fun time, and I'm generally pretty picky about the games I buy. The devs stood behind their game, and were confident that people would enjoy it. You guys are a credit to your craft, and you've earned a LOT of happy, slightly-less-cynical fans. May you enjoy all your success!

Hadn't heard of this game, not even my style really, but 100% mad props to the devs for what they've done and tried to do; whether it worked or didn't (I hope it did) in your favour, it's an incredible thing you did to put all your time and work and effort and a portion of your life into something and then would rather give it away and hope people like it to buy it, than put it on key sites or even DRM (cough sega).

As soon as I get some money I'll buy this game, whether I play it or not.
