@verblox
I'm not fighting by any means. Just asking.
Also looking for Async Reprojection support under linux - planning to move most of my gaming there later this year.

Keep fighting the good fight. I'll be getting a used 1070.

I highly doubt so. There is a support of Oculus ATW and ASW for those cards. For both Win10 and Win7.

@the5ovietunion We might add a per-application setting to force always-on half framerate motion smoothing, but we're waiting until the hitches when entering motion smoothing are fully solved to make that decision. Frank is correct, as a temp workaround to force it on if you want to test and provide feedback.

@rusty_dragon Sorry, that's a hardware limitation with older AMD cards.

@the5ovietunion. Dont know why Alex havent post here, but there is a way to force motion smoothing with this beta. Just press Shift-R on Steamvr mirror.

Ive been really happy with the flexibility that the new motion smoothing provides (even have to use it on my 1080ti). it needs work, but i know its early in its release and valve is good about updates. I do think they should DEF add the option to force enable MS (so that is always on, if user wants) on a per app basis, if the users wishes (like in that settings page with the adv res. slider). people "hacking" it by pumping ADV Res up to 200% is not a good solution. thanks

steamvr kepts crashing other apps in the background with memory access violation errors aka discord or twitch desktop apps will crash while playing vr games on steam or games will just crash with memory access violation errors in steamvr

@Alex Vlachos
Is there any chance Async Reprojection support coming to Win7 and older AMD cards?
Since it's still RX 480+ and Win10 only.

@SCheeseman "There still seems to be disorienting artifacts when the framerate teeters around 85-90fps"

Yes, we are aware. More improvements are coming.
