What I was hoping to do was get a general idea (with my Rift) of how well SteamVR works with a Samsung Odyssey+ that I am interested in. However, I guess that isn't possible.

Oculus Rift already has ASW 1.0 which does the same thing. Also Oculus is rolling out ASW 2.0 now.

So motion smoothing is just for Vive? (or Pimax)

@whitav8r It's mentioned that for headsets where their own subsystem has its own solution for this, Motion Smoothing in SteamVR will be inactivated as it's effectively redundant. This is in the very article we're commenting on.

" Motion Smoothing is not enabled when using Oculus Rift or Windows Mixed Reality headsets with SteamVR, because their underlying display drivers use different techniques when applications miss framerate. "

I don't see where the option on the SteamVR beta (built Oct 23) menu is for enabling motion smoothing - or reprojection. I am Windows 10, still on Nvidia 398.31, Oculus

NaLo developer here. Today I'm publishing an update that works with SteamVR beta.

Has there been a fix to gettng 306 error with the beta? Mine is launching in safe mode and then giving me error 306. Reverting to regular SteamVR runs just fine. I am running NaLo fyi.

I want to know if this new feature will now allow me to play games like Skyrim VR,Lone Echo or X-Plane 11 VR. Steam help us out by releasing a "Can you RUN It-with Motion Smoothing" app. Those are three game I would buy instantly.

I opted in beta and did updating of SteamVR but now it only opens in Safe Mode. What's wrong?

ts not activating for me. I got reprojection ON but smoothing reprojection is not activating. Of course i selected the option on steam vr menu to turn it on. Nvidia driver is updated with lastest version. I forced the game to run with ss 2.0 and that makes the fps very bad, still motion smoothing never gets in.
