Seems to be running fine at the moment on the beta version of steamVR. Thank you.

OK, my camera is working again after disconnecting/reconnecting the HMD. Is there any ETA as to when the fix in openvr-inputemulator-temporary will be pushed in a non-beta release?

Actually after stress-testing it a bit, i notice a very few hickups, but can't yet say if that's just because i run without any reprojection atm.

The beta works for me too, but we should not have to install beta software to fix released software.

Has anyone else experienced that the Vive camera no longer works in the release or beta versions? Both dashboard and room view are broken for me now.

I can confirm that the recent update to beta has fixed the issue for me. thanks!

OK, I have to comment. I manage a QA team for a software company, and I have to say if we released an update like this heads would roll. I've been unable to game for the last couple of days and was really looking forward to coming home tonight and having some fun. Instead I have to screw around to find a workaround for a serious decrease in performance ( the "openvr-inputemulator-temporary" thing). This is really unacceptable for commercially released software.

Also broken (that I've noticed so far) is all camera functionality. I can't wait to see what else I find.

I don't opt int to the betas for a reason. I spend all day testing software. I don't expect to have to do so on my own free time when I'm using commercial software and a VR rig that I paid a lot of money for. Steam, I love you guys but you've got to get your act together here!

Yes, more people coming out finally with this issue. I've seen multiple system affected already. I was the first to mention it here, those who have an issue with your GPU properly being utalized it's THIS UPDATE. The beta has been doing this for a while but now I can't believe they rolled it out like this into finally release. Only way to play at the moment is on the "openvr-inputemulator-temporary" patch.

A temporary fix for now, im using, is to opt into the SteamVR branch "openvr-inputemulator-temporary"

Talking about those problems: they are software and would go away. Not a big deal.

No, you should not get Pro. It's a fraud. You basically paying for 150% screen resolution increase. Which is too small increase to make any practical difference. And it's not a premium product either. HTC could've went with new Samsung screens. But they got those already in mass production and awailable in 600$ Samsung Odyssey.
