With this beta I can no longer boot SteamVR on my Linux systems (Executable not found).

Anyway, very nice work Valve. One big request though. As you guys probably agree for a player to maximize image quality while keeping framerates stable Super Sampling (as well as other stuff like reprojection) needs to be set on a per game basis. Since you have now SS directly user accessible in the settings I think you also agree that its unlikely that every developer will in the future provide an ingame setting.

So, could you implement a per app / game SS profile option for us instead?

I think filtering sacrifices sharpness for less aliasing, basically like that SS implementation that was temporally live in an old Steam VR Beta.

"Added an option to disable image filtering on supersampled renderings"

Can you provide a little more detail on this? What filtering was being applied previously?

Still not working for me. I'm getting this error:

"The compositor was unable to create a graphics device as part of its initialization (405)"

I sure hope they keep these as 2 installs steamvr home(socialapp)...SteamVR for games..I don't want all that loaded while using my vr.....everything counts ....already steamvr pulls 9% cpu...with all that loaded I bet its around 25% before loading any games in vr adding to it lol...

Hopefully this cures the elite dangerous bug that caused crashing and white out's and showing the steam vr background with 3x pulsating verticle bars and 3 dots above. I had to get a key from frontier to enable the game in the oculus store. That cured it. But my god I had a massive headache trying to figure out what was going on til I realised it was steam VR that caused the problem.

Do we delete existing Destinations app and workshop content or will Home use the same files?
