I so wish you were right and making Linux version would bring us lots of sales! :) But we can't afford wishful thinking and have no extra money. If sales are good, I hope we will be able to afford non-native porting...

I know the numbers (0.27% are the Linux steam users, reference: http://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey)
I was actually less ambitious, talking about a tenth of those less than 1% steam users running Steam (or no Steam at all; Linux managed to get to 2% desktop share (last or this year?)).

My point is people (like me) will drop Windows altogether (because of security and privicy/telemetry concerns) and switch to Linux or (god forbid) consoles or plain mobiles. And there's opportunity in the Linux niche there... Just make the best game on Linux(there aren't many) and sales will come ;-)

I would port it if it would be up to me alone. We are making our new game on investors money and they don't give us anything for porting. The hard reality is this: Linux sales on Steam are about 0,5-2% of all sales. If I managed to sell our game to every tenth user on Steam, I'd have millions of copies sold. Not every Steam user or even 10% will buy our new game, and so not every Linux user or even 10% of them will buy it. There is an old saying that goes like this: if gradmother had balls, she would be grandfather. These ifs don't count, and analytics and statistics are better tools.

Deficit and Business Opportunity walked into a bar...

Seriously (or too naively?!), if you only manage to sell the game to every tenth Linux game user(steam or not) for a tenth of the price (reference: mobile app market&prices) then ...

We will do our best to support Ultra-wide screens. But Linux or Mac support is unfortunately otu of question - no resources to do either. And unfortunately no financial reasons to do it - statistics show very small number of users on both platforms so we have no data to convince our investors.

Please, bear in mind Ultra-wide screens (~ 3840x1080) become common. I pray they'll be supported in your new project without issues (like tiny fonts, HUD, mouse cursor...).
Also, Linux support (native or Wine-ed) becoumes a decisive buying factor for some (like me -- new hardware tends not to support Win 8.1 and I'll not upgrade to Win 10 but will switch to Linux completely(no dual booting anymore)).

Такое разрешение ниже минимальных требований. Не помещается просто все.
