If you are a Linux user, you can install, via WINE, the WiNdOwS version of Steam.

I have done that. But I don't see the difference from pre-patch and post-patch. Except for the fact that the post-patch has, for some reason, done away with the "cheats" within the game.

I think that the creator LIED!
I think that they have no intent of creating a Linux patch.

In addition, I think Steam is partially at fault those who have already downloaded System Shock 2 for Linux already way before the "update" that no longer works. I think that Steam itself should admit that Steam messed up by, essentially, breaking the game that used to work.

Ummm, yeah. So what's up with that Linux patch?

Well... it has been SEVEN MONTHS with no upgrade for Linux users.
I guess "Nighdive Studios" does not care about Linux users.

I am disappointed at Nighdive Studios.

Im technologically impaired and am curious where I can find this patch and how to install it. I have looked around but was unable to find any mirror's or downloads :(

Thanks ahead of time!

I installed the WiNdOwS version of Steam (I am a Linux user). I ran SS2 in the WiNdOwS version, and my opinion is MEH....

They seem to have taken the "cheat" fuctionality away!

Can't believe that they're still updating this game 20 years later. This game is amazing, great work!
