Tested a few (really) smaller games I used to play within an installation of Wine, and now with Steamplay:
-Clicker Heroes (everything works! note: Adobe Air title)
-Triple Town (everything works! note: Adobe Air title)
-Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (everything works! Windows binary, non-ScummVM)
-Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantnis (no music. speech works. save/load broken, non-ScummVM)
-Quake I (no sound! pulseaudio is up an running though)
-Zack Zero (everything works!)
-Peggle Deluxe (everything works!)
-4 Elements (no sound at all! works with manual wine installation + steam)
-One Finger Death Punch (does not start, probably needs winetricks dotnet40)

So far the success rate is quite good! radeon/amdgpu mesa drivers (very cheap AMD STONEY laptop)

I was hoping this would give me a hint as to why DOOM doesn't work... Is there a place to raise the issue and help with logs etc?
