@nick, #1 is not currently possible for many online games without servers setup similar to WoW. Even Blizz requires a subscription and sells nearly everything via microtransactions (short of gold). Do we really want that? #2 isn't exactly the experience the devs are looking to make. A talented mod maker will likely deliver on that (nearly 100% certain on that) and will hopefully get the chance to make his own game if it gains enough traction similar to how that worked for PU and even Rocket.

or perhaps create factions similar to STALKER story line with certain goals or objectives to complete in order to gain kinship/ affinity. each w/ different perks or companions suiting different play- styles

interesting concept for end-game would be plane/heli and choice to leave chernarus with seamless loadscreen to different map on different server.

No way the worst thing can happend to dayz is to have that traders and loot to sell for gold, that kill the hole game, go arma 3 to do that

I feel like DayZ Epoch solved this problem via always being able to build more onto your base, find more loot to sell for gold, and AI missions to complete. DayZ SA needs some of that!
