I do think the only reason for buying this (and I will not spend more than $20) is for the potential community play it will engender.

Or in other words: Dark Souls: Actually working this time edition

SO: This is Dark Souls with DSfix preinstalled. I'm underwhelmed.

It's a remaster, so everything will be the same. Sadly, including places like Izalith. It's major optimization, new (technically) playerbase, better multiplayer, and shiny stuff:praisesun:

I am with Noone, here. I want to play the original. No changes, just optimisations.

I for one HOPE that "60 FPS and pretty effects" is all it is.
I do NOT want Ornstein and Smough to be the FIRST enemies one sees in the game, before even getting the Estus Flask - or seeing a bonfire. In other words: I do NOT want another Scholar desaster full of monster misplacement, monster dis-placement and boss-reusing.

First off, @Gwyn, Lord of Dank, what you have seen in vidoes isn't exactly what you will be getting, vidoes online don't usually ever look as good as the game itself, second off, it is getting tons of fixes the first game needed, bug wise, and it is getting heavily improved servers, allong with 6 player multiplayer, that Ds3 and SOTFS had. It's a remaster, expecting anything more is a problem on your part. It will be the same game, with minor improvements. It's a remaster, not reboot.:praisesun:
