Ok, Ive tried all the fixes suggested, Admin mode, Window mode, the controller fixed it until I had to unplug the controller, now it doesn't fix it regardless of rebooting. obviously this is a problem that hasn't been fixed. It seriously looks like something to do with the a hardware cursor... maybe? Either way im looking at asking for a refund as this is unplayable and sofar doesn't look like anyone is fixed it. any help appreciated ...

On the game page in your Steam client go to Properties -> Controller, then from the drop down choose Disable Steam Input
