I am getting more enjoyment out of this game than I did with Hades, and I'm not sure why. Maybe its because its more relaxed vibes (but still challenging), the greater variety of weapons and abilities, or the more choices and complexity of meta progression. The first couple hours were nothing special to me, but after about 5 or so hours I began to really get roped into the progression and challenge.

The story about depression and avoiding isolation was a nice touch. I like that a game encourages you to connect with people and learn interaction, as a backdrop to gameplay. To me, this is a gem in the rough, and woefully under-rated compared to the over-hyped Hades. I really wish this game would get more spotlight on it.

Nice little rogue-like, the awake/dreaming sequence is nice, the quantity of weapons and abilities is nice, allows for a little bit of build crafting.

Would buy again.

Quite the unexpected surprise! I normally don't like wash-rinse-repeat over and over again, but the way this game is set up makes it a fun and different enough experience every time. 100% recommend. I bought this in a five pack of games for $5, so $1 for this. Dreamscaper is worth much more than what I paid!
