Be Careful with Low-Level Pilots – X4: Foundations

I had an incident where a Level 2 pilot on a destroyer suddenly attacked friendly ships instead of Xenon. This caused a -10 reputation drop with multiple factions.

Low-level pilots (Level 1–2) in X4 can misinterpret orders and sometimes target the wrong ships, especially when using Fire Control Overrides or patrol commands.
low-level pilots may ignore the police, or carry illegal goods without responding to inspections

This can lead to serious issues like rep loss or accidental wars.

From Level 3 and up, pilots behave much more reliably and follow orders correctly.


Flak weapons deal AOE damage, which can accidentally hurt nearby allied ships, especially in crowded battles. so friendly fire.

or it was jsut a bug.
You can try to babysit every ship for a while until the attacked ship is not destroyed and eventually forgets you or load an older save.

You would need to send your friend worldname.db and worldname.fwl files. Enable file name extensions[i.imgur.com] in your windows explorer to see those file types.

In order to reach those files, press the Manage saves button available in the starting menu → notice saves being organized by worlds and character tabs → find the save which you want sent → select that save by clicking on it → press the button Move to local → go all the way back to the Starting menu (before character selection) → in the bottom left corner of the screen (below patch notes) click on the white Show Player.log button → this will lead you to a folder where Valheim keeps its local saves → for world save you need to send worldname.db and worldname.fwl copies of files located in worlds_local folder, and for character save you need to send a copy of charactername.fch file located in characters_local folder → player who receives copies of the save files must put them in corresponding worlds_local or characters_local folder.

Once you are done, you have to decide whether you should keep your saves as Local or move them back to Cloud by pressing the Move to cloud button in Manage saves menu.
