Bunnyhop script is vague. Is it using the in game console? Are you using a macro? Are you using some other tool?

While usually you won't be VAC banned, it depends on what you're using to do it. You do also risk a game ban by using them in competitive.

Will you get banned for using automatic key/button-input? That's what you ask?

I wouldn't take any chances, if I were you. It's not really fair either, towards the other players. Maybe use hardware macro scripts? Those will be difficult to detect. But they may still be able to detect identical input, giving away you're using it.


I want to know this as well. I've created some advanced macro scripts for single player, I can't imagine them to be fair to use in multiplayer.
For example, with fighting games, you can automatically make your fighter do complex attack sequences, you would never be able to pull off consistently yourself (well, theoretically you could, but not in practice), by doing it manually.

That's sort of cheating, right? Especially when there is cross-platform support. Console (xbox, ps4, etc.) users will not be able to make use of.
Personally, I would consider that cheating. The same way using more powerful hardware would be cheating, or streaming while playing. It must be a grey area, dealt with on individual basis.



Is it not possible for you to simply not use those scripts in competitive, or when you´re in a leaderboard? Just because you can do something, doesn´t mean you have to do it.

bunny hop scripts are like botting. So while it MAY not get you a VAC ban, it could get you an overwatch ban.

You should stay away from bhop scripting unless you want to risk or take chances with VAC or Overwatch. Bhopping in CS:GO isn't even official to begin with.

Remember that just because something is "technically not a cheat" that might gain a VAC ban, BEHAVIORS will get reported by players, if they suspect an account is cheating or behaving in a way that makes their experience go bad.

So... Don't use something that will get your account reported, because game bans are just as impossible to remove as vac.

To reinforce this claim, this is for "VAC-Bans," not "Overwatch bans."
So if people report you enough times through the game's in-game feature for b-hopping rampantly, then that usually will get you into the Overwatch play-pool, and you could possibly say goodbye to your access on CS:GO due to receiving a Game-ban.

As everyone else here in the thread said EXACTLY that (it may or may not cause a vac but it most certainly can cause a game ban)... Using 3rd party programs to gain an advantage over your enemys will get you banned.
