Ask in the Game;'s forum.
Like seriously. Those file names aren't exactly universal or standard. and they can operate differently from game to game.
Simple - as Start_Running says above, you can ask in the game's forum.

or you can do what I do whenever I come across a file format I don't know - Google "what does .xxx mean and how do I open it?"

I always get an answer as I'm a relentless fiddler with files.
Start_Runing Do you mean I am supposed to ask RWS?
crunchyfrog I already tryed and I don't get answer. I only find that what I know about that files.
the .name might just be a shorthand for what files their engine uses for X and Y. Try opening them in something like Visual Studio Code, if they're small in size. (less than 2MB.)

As an example, the .gui might just be a renamed .txt file.
Walach that dosen't work. I only see white background when I open with visual studio.

It needs to be Visual Studio Code, not just Visual Studio:

But, as I wrote, this is just an example of what to do. Each game is unique and I can't help more than giving vague examples. Sorry.

As an example, the .gui might be HTML on how the gui is built, be a "hidden" JSON Object, or it's something that only the compiler they used to Build the game can read and understand.
Many of those files can also be compiled in way that you aren't supposed to be able to open them.
Brian 9824 I think the same
Walach I will try with Visual Studio Code

You can do that as well. But I meant asking the community .
The postal games are generally mod friendly, and RWS has been quite cool about that.
