Steam email: you received an award!... ok where?

I received an email from Steam saying "You've received a Community Award! - You have been awarded by others for sharing items with the Steam Community! Your awards are now displayed alongside your items online."

The banner image below that text says "Comment/ Received an Award!" and then the award type. The "received an award" text is a hyperlink but all it does is open a new tab saying "sorry! failed to load comment thread details: token is required but was not set."

I don't understand how the system is set up to alert me in a private email not only that I got an award, but what type, and what for - but I have no way to view the original content? How is there an email notification but no notification on Steam itself? Am I missing something?

You have two of them. They're right there on your profile.

The email link is broken now, yes. Don't know why.

Your points summary page will show it after 14 days. It will also link you to what was awarded. This is assuming whatever you were awarded for UGC wise was not deleted.

Those are from a while ago, the one mentioned in the email is different, it says it was awarded on a comment (not profile award).

Okay yah I checked the points summary but I guess it won't show up there for a couple weeks? Thank you for the info.

It should be 2 weeks, or 7 days, i really don't remember.

You can view all awards there [profile, posts, UGC] and as you can see there's one more award.

Whatever item gt awarded, it was the <wholesome> award as you can see on that page.

Odd ive gotten a few awards this month for posts/profile and they all seem to direct to the award fine?

Maybe the issue is more if the post/thread you got awarded for maybe got moved in the meantime?

Maybe the issue is more if the post/thread you got awarded for maybe got moved in the meantime?

Probably. I had lots of awards from deleted threads.

I'd also wager profile award wonkiness would be related to how profiles were very much out of whack for the past 2 weeks or so. in that if you hit the link while your profile was in a 'weird' state it might generate that error too.

thankfully that seems to have died down after this weeks maintenance
