Hidden Gem games in steam.

Is there any games which you found it's hidden in steam store doesn't get exposure because it's hidden by ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s of store filled with Anime, Hentai, Waifu, and NSFW less effort games ?

There are still some cheap and Indie games which it deserves to be in the exposure because they were made to be games.

I'm gonna list here some if you also have any Indie good games which doesn't get much attention please list them here, so maybe this will help others to find some good games and also to those devs who made these games passionately.

More of the subject of personal opinion what they consider a really good game, that was not very popular they believed. There will always be games that undersale, or don't become popular due to the fact how many games keep coming out, and if people are even willing to play older games, or if they're even willing to even put any effort into looking for a game to play.

Like I want to point out hidden gems are called that due to lack of popularity, or basically forgotten good games, and this happens pretty much everywhere from Steam, GoG, and etc for years. There more games that being made these days, that's low effort that's flooding Steam, GoG, and etc than there are good games coming out with proper management, and so on for the development of the game to make it good, but still it's unavoidable if they become unpopular, due to other games taking over their spot light, or lack of interest of people looking atm, or etc...

I suppose the deluge of asset rip-offs, half-baked tech demos and mountains of unfinished EA games are just fine and A-ok.

Not like those turds caused Greenlight to disappear. Nope, definitely not the case.

Come on guys, Don't start argument for no reason. The point is there are sht ton of useless games up front and they do actually cause these "Gems" to be less noticeable. Just keep it clean and recommend what ever you got to offer.

I'm not here to start a flame war, but tbh almost all of your games had either big announcements on the front page of steam store when they were launched or wide spread media coverage. That's not what I'd consider "hidden".
Also some of them have been given away for free so I guess a lot of people own them, so also not that hidden anymore.

A better example for hidden gem atleast imho would be

I mean all of the examples I brought up are also what I think people would consider low effort trash games yet the OP specifically targeted anime AND ONLY anime related genres of games as "trash".


I suppose you could think of it as supplementing the list of genres the OP missed.

But just so I can say that I contributed something on topic:

I don't really search for "hidden gems". I search for well received games in genres that I like while looking out for red flags such as microtransactions, always online, DLC worth more than the base game and so on.

Besides that I also follow some reviewers on youtube that I trust and share similar taste. And I also keep an eye out for sequels to games I already like.

As for specific examples I can't think of any atm since most of the games I've played recently are older titles or multiplayer games off of steam.

They deserved to be shown off for quite awhile now after years of censorship. It doesn't matter if you don't like it or hate it but there's plenty of games from sports to sex and onto simulator.
