Retina DIsplay support please.
It's time this was implemented, majority of applications I use day to day now support this, and I might be a little less inclined to dual-boot windows for my steam games if it wasn't a blurry mess on OSX.

Yes please. Really disapointed it's taking so long for what should be a fairly easy update.

My new MBP with retina display comes in next week. Im hoping that steam can catch up with the resolution issues quickly...

Errrrk I hate the retina display. I have a faithful late 2011 15''

This is kind of one of the reasons I passed on the Retina MBP. I know the resolution increase is great but I could forsee all of the compatibility issues that would come up; this being one of them. Not to be disparaging to anyone who feels differently about it, but I think the need for patching of various software just to make it look acceptable looking is just too much effort for something so frivolous.

I understand it must be frustrating to have Steam looking so fuzzy, but I don't think this is at the top of Valve's priorities at the moment.

I do hope for your sakes you recieve a timely patch for this though.

Yes please!

Come on Valve! If microsoft, apple's biggest COMPETITOR can update their whole office package to support the retina MBP before you can sharpen this little grey box, something is seriously wrong!

Would be great to see this

I'm agreeing with this post, retina display support would be fantastic. Kinda odd how Steam doesnt already support retina display, but i guess it is one improvement they can make.

cant you reduce the resolution of your screen a bit? just until they update it?

Doesn't work like that sadly, it remains a blurry mess
Daniel Sep 24, 2012 @ 3:06pm
by 'blurry mess', he means the same as a normal non retina screen, but next to all the other razer sharp elements on the screen, it really looks bad. (it renders by scaling with a backing factor of 2, so each 'steam pixel' uses a square of 4 physical pixels on the display, making it the same size that it would be on a 1440x900 15 inch screen)

Actually, from what I've seen on my retina display iPod in comparison to my old touch, non-retina elements do look worse on a retina display.

I wouldn't hold out hope for retina-enhanced games, but an update to Steam itself would be good.
