How to get source sdk and many other windows only games on mac free!
*Note: This does not work on all games*
Step 1: Download crossover the free trial http://www.codeweavers.com/products/crossover-mac/
Step 2: When you installed it and opened it click install windows software.
Step 3: When your there there should be a list of stuff to install. Click Counter-Strike: source or any other steam game.
Step 4: Click install and let it install.
Step 5: Let it install when it is 100% done there should be a folder that appears called "Steam".
If you can't find it you can look for it in your applications folder.
Step 6: Sign in to steam and let steam update.
Step 7: Download your game!
P.S. You don't get the game you select in crossover unless you already bought it.
Any questions? ask me on steam at Pokemonjpups.

Thanks! I got Garry's mod a few days ago, but it needed Source SDK for most of the textures, and this really helped!

Another option, if you're feeling adventurous, is through Wineskin (http://wineskin.urgesoftware.com/). It's free & open-source, & while not as pretty as Crossover, is very capable. I ran Dota 2 for several months with it before the official Mac port was released.

I wrapped a game with wineskin it ran incredibly slow. (gave up on that) cross over I got the free trial, and never could figure out how to make it work - so it never did.
I got parallels installed and just opens up win8 and windows games and software. Priced right too. I love it.

No all of you got it wrong. Download Mono and you can run any Windows file on Mac with ease.
P.S. It is free
