[Solved] I've been working on a dedicated server for my friends. I get the error "Could not establish connection to Steam servers."
I've been working on a dedicated server for my friends. I get the error "Could not establish connection to Steam servers."

start.bat:

srcds -game csgo -console -usercon +game_type 0 +game_mode 1 +map de_nuke +sv_setsteamaccount xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx +sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0 +sv_lan 0

So, I fixed the error. I put in the wrong gameserver key. Now I have another problem. Everything runs fine, however when ever I connect using the public ip adress it says in the console, it doesn't work and never loads. It ends up says something like, "Failed to connect."

SOLVED: After a week or so of messing around and looking for solutions, I found out the answer. I'm not sure if this is only on Asus routers, however you MUST turn off NAT Acceleration. Port Forwarding is not compatible with this setting on and its on by default.

I assume this is a server running on your home LAN?
In that case it's most likely an issue with your router. Not all routers support this kind of connection (connect to the public ip from within the LAN). But you should be fine just connecting to your private LAN ip address.

Port forwarding is an option in my router. Even though I forward the correct ports, the ports still don't open. I even put my PC on DMZ and it still didn't work. I tried plugging my PC directly into my modem and it worked, however, it only worked once and hasn't worked again. Do you know what might be the issue here (oh, I also have a static ip).
