Will YouTube comments be less censored now that Donald Trump won the election?
I noticed it around 2022 that sometime when I write a comment on YouTube it won't show up, or only shows up for me, but not for anyone else. Now that the Democrats are finally out of the picture do you think this BS will stop on YouTube? Why even have a comment section if you won't allow people to write basic harmless comments? I'm not talking about videos of politics, just videos in general.

real threads are being censored, by trump threads always taking up the front page.
Trump said multiple times he would sensor whatever he doesnt like so most likely its not gonna be more free speech by the looks of it.
The Democrat mob are the ones who censor everything. You Trump haters need to wake up and smell the coffee. Google was in bed with the Democrats anyway.
Less censored? possibly, more adverts? most certainly.
Censorship is my enemy and it won't let me say stuff to politicians the way I want. Not even using a very offensive four letter C-word.
People, I'm not talking about politicians. I'm talking about any video out there. This can happen under any type of video.

Revisions to Section 230 have been mentioned.
Private companies can censor as they please, feel free to use another service or make one yourself

If that's the case than YouTube should just block comment sections in general. Why have it there if people can't even comment or respond freely?

Publishers censor because they are liable for what they publish.

Platforms are not liable for what is posted on their service because of protections in Section 230.

The current loophole are platforms are allowed to censor anything they want even though they are not liable for what is posted there.

This loophole has been slated to be addressed by the Trump administration.

Communication services will likely have to decide if they are a publisher with the need to censor or a platform with the protections of Section 230.

They'll no longer be both.

This is a great summary and gives a glimpse of comments being removed from a lot of social media.

If YouTube bears potential liability for the things it's users post then it will quickly remove their ability to do so.
Youtube never censored Trump, but rather known disinformation.

Trump just happens to spew a lot of that disinformation and therefore got censored accordingly.

The Democrat mob was the one who spread misinformation. Luckily most Americans saw through the lies. I am so proud of everyone who voted for Trump.

YouTube is purportedly a platform and are not liable for anything, including misinformation, that is posted on their service.

If YouTube wishes to become a publisher with the need for censorship, then they are liable for everything posted on their service.
Nothing to do with Trump but right now Biden is putting Google under CFPB (consumer finance protection bureau) oversite. Company is about to be split up and had nothing to do with Trump.
But they will blame Trump.
