Improve your gaming? No, that's up to you, but as already mentioned, it will significantly increase your loading times, large maps are loaded much quicker, and depending on the game, you'll probably find yourself on a server before anyone else.

Many titles now can't even stream assets fast enough from a mechanical drive.
So it would likely help, but really, a rebuild would be much more useful long-term.
